This view is of La Carihuela in the early Sixties when Frank Sinatra and other Stars were staying at the 1st Hotel in Torremolinos, "La Pez Espada" overlooking the Mediterranean.
An informal group of friends meeting weekly in Plaza Andalucia. We first started out as TESS Torremolinos English Speakers Society. We wanted to arrange activities together. Art Gallery Shows, Orchestral Concerts in Malaga, Cinema Outings and Gibraltar visits. Now many years later we drink a lot of coffee and catch up on our health.

Well I found this draft and decided it should be seen. Now that it is 2025 and September again. The photograph was taken at one of Marion's famous get together parties. We always enjoyed them.
OFM.The Malaga Philarmonic Orchestra was well attended and gave good performances during our last two visits in April and May for a variety of programmes.

ROMERIA
Well I am still a little disoriented from the day of total abandon!
Many visitors were watching the Romeria procession slowly making it's way through Torremolinos. Lots of flower decorated carts pulled by gaily festooned oxen, and tractors. Matching pairs of horses pulling their traditionally dressed families in carriages and many horses riders.
First the party then up to the pines to picnic, and then the feria ground casetas where the local clubs put on entertainment and food, and the horse riders gather. Everyone dancing Sevillanas even the little ones. Back to town in the Plaza Andalucia dancing rock and roll and having lots of fun. Thanks to all our friends for a wonderful day out.Next Meeting Friday at El Albanico
