March 8th Meeting

Once again the group meeting at the Cafe Bar Central had a good morning with conversation taking in local issues and property being the main theme.

Unfortunately, we would like our previous visitors to know that the forthcoming visit to the ballet mentioned last week has been fully booked.

March7th Meeting

Meeting Number 7 

Our get together for the 7th Meeting was enjoyable with information on concerts and ballet performances forthcoming at The Cervantes Theatre in Malaga. Notably on the 14th of May for the tribute to Rudolph Nureyev on the 15th Anniversary of his death. It will be an International Gala with four countries participating.
If you wish to send us a list of books for exchange we will send it to others on the mailing list.

This week being Good Friday our meeting was postponed but we look forward to seeing you soon at our
Next Meeting on 28th March in The Bar Central, Plaza Andalucia

March 6th MEETING

An enjoyable meeting due to a charming gentleman recently moved here. He had been one of the group interested in the Yelmo cine trip and came to see "Vantage Point" with us.

Conversation ranged over many subjects including working and travelling in South America.
We are planning a visit to the gardens of La Concepción, and a concert at the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga could well be in the offing

Website design was touched on. I am slowly getting the hang of this blog. Travel books, with books initially grouped as CLASSIC and AIRPORT.
A suggestion was made "Friendly Visiting". In other words to someone confined for long periods to hospital or at home, with few or no visitors, who would appreciate some company.

In May there will be a celebration at the Castle in Fuengirola. Details of this and other outings like El Torcal asap.

March 5th MEETING

The "meeting", being all old friends turned into something of a coffee morning. No new faces appeared. A trip to the cinema was arranged for 4th of March, on the train to Plaza Mayor, to see "Sweeney Todd." Marion in the manner of all good organisers suggested for us to wear something RED in case we don’t recognise each other.!
