June 18th MEETING

Happy Birthday Josépa !! La Cacerola

Friday the 13th at the Café Central with our regulars.
Anyone else wishing to read Silent Spring by Rachel Carson let me know. It's old but this controversial book about pollution was the forerunner for our present concerns over the environment. It explains a lot of facts how and why things were going badly wrong.
Also Kate Adie's autobiography, "Kindness of Strangers" is an eye-opener.

The Canadian Gran Prix was exciting but an anticlimax for Alonso after his efforts in qualifying. Have to say Hamilton running into the back of Raikkonen in the pit lane just took some believing. !! Then Rosberg doing the same! Well it was later explained that the stop lights were lit, to prevent cars joining unsafely while the safety car was passing on a slow lap.

Raikkonen has failed to score points in his last two Grands Prix after the Finn drove into the back of Adrian Sutil's Force India in Monaco.
